Members, This is a new opportunity:
We invite you to
join us.... http://groups.yahoo.com/group/artapprenticeonline/
Dear
Artist,
AAO Interactive is
an expansion of our Online Classroom. In this new age of internet
technology and online classes, it is easier to obtain art education
now than ever before. It is within reach of nearly everyone. On the
AAO, Art Apprentice Online website, our focus on interactive
learning together with the launch of our new online classes has
prompted us to further expand our art community.
This new expansion
also includes an email 'group' format where your artistic growth and
imagination will be engaged. We believe that effective and creative
learning fosters inspiration and in turn motivates artists to paint.
You may have heard
of a painting movement called A Painting a Day. This was started by
another artist named Duane Keiser and adopted by several others. We
were so inspired by this idea and thought we would like to begin
something along the same line of thought. Not a painting per day,
but a painting per week depending on the time you have and can spend
with us.
Surface Size
- We would like to suggest very small surfaces, 3x5, 5x7 or 8x10.
The basic goal of this is to get our brushes into paint and to paint
as often as we can together, while exploring and experimenting and
having fun with this. The more we paint the better we will get from
practice and artistic self confidence.
The Subjects
- We would like to begin with simple items found around our homes or
studios. Subjects can be a slice of toast, a single berry, a bobbin
of thread to a single bloom from your garden. We are going to begin
with a Raspberry. Paint it with what ever style you want, 'Just
paint it!'
Share your work
- We have created a folder on our new group where you may share your
finished mini-paintings for input. All artists are welcome to join
us for this fun exercise. We will be painting ours with Traditions
Resin Acrylics.
So..................we invite you to join us....and
Just Paint it!
